Anita K. McDaniel is an Associate Professor at the University of North Carolina Wilmington in the Department of Communication Studies. She has been teaching courses in Interpersonal Communication since 1998 and specializes in the analysis of relationship myths. Her most notable publications in that area include “Young Women’s Dating Behavior: Why/Why Not Date a Nice Guy?” in Sex Roles and “Looking at Email: A Method for Teaching Interpersonal Communication Theories and Principles to Undergraduate Students” in Electronic Journal of Communication.
